My Korean 10 steps routine

I used to be those people who reads the box and google for all the ingredients there is in all skincare products that I'm planning to buy and I lived by the three steps regime (cleanse-tone-moisturize) twice daily.

I got lazy along the way.

This article >>I Tried A 10-Step Korean Skincare Regimen For A Week, And Here Are The Results<< is my turning point.

I need to try Korean 10-steps routine!

Cleanse (oil) - Cleanse (water) - Exfoliate (twice/week) - Tone - Essence/Lotion - Serum/Ampoule - Mask (thrice/week) - Eye cream - Moisturizer - Sunscreen (morning)

Ten freaking steps for (hopefully) a better skin.

You can read more about the Korean Skincare Routine at SOKOGLAM!

I have dry skin and my main concern is wrinkles and dehydrated skin.

1. Cleanse (oil)

I'm using whatever makeup remover I have. I'm switching between Bifesta cleansing lotion and 3CE real soft cleansing sherbet (to be replaced with The Face Shop rice water bright cleansing cream). When I'm on the go or just super lazy, I use The Face Shop herb day cleansing tissue - my favourite make up wipes.

2. Cleanse (water)

morning - Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (to be replaced with Hada Labo hydra & whitening face wash)

evening - GLAMGLOW youthcleanse daily exfoliating cleanser

3. Exfoliate

Physical - Origins modern friction. It smells like rice grains crushed together or in other words; bedak sejuk, but it doesn't scratch my face like St Ives apricot scrub does. It's very light so you won't get that fresh clean feeling after using it. For heavy duty exfoliation I'm eyeing for MAC volcanic ash.

Chemical (AHA/BHA) - VMV's re-everything cream: anti-age primary treatment & re-everything face-hand-body lotion.

4. Toner

Still looking for one

5. Essence/Lotion

Missha time revolution first treatment essence. It comes with instruction, to be used after cleansing and to be followed with eye cream, lotion and moisturizer - a way cheaper dupe for the cult favourite SKII Facial Treatment Essence. A lot of good reviews but I'll reserve my comments because I've only been using it for less than a week. Too early to tell if it's working or not.

Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion is my best friend. It makes my skin feels so fresh and moisturized. I'm still not sure where/on which step to incorporate it but for now I'm using it after Missha FTE.

6. Serum/Ampoule

Morning -  still looking for one
Night - Missha time revolution science activator borabit ampoule - to pair with Missha FTE. It's the Estee Lauder advance night repair dupe & Tarte maracuja oil

7. Mask

GLAMGLOW thirsty mud. I can't use it overnight because sensitive skin. It's really icky and quite a fuss to clean off so whenever I have sheet masks from whatever brand and for whatever benefits lying around, I'll use that instead.

Recently I bought THEFACESHOP real nature mask. It's cheap but I don't really like it. It doesn't fit my face quite right.

8. Eye Cream

I use eye cream just because. My dark eye circles is beyond salvage. I'm currently using Caudalie polyphenol C15 (to be replaced with Clinique pep-start eye cream).

9. Moisturizer

SimplySiti hidravita.
Morning - Vitamin E (dry skin)
Evening - Vitamin A (anti-aging).

10. Sunscreen

So far my favourite is Shiseido perfect UV protector SPF50+ but my broke ass can't afford to repurchase so I've been using Hada Labo's air aqua uv day emulsion - moist (to be replaced with Biore UV bright face milk SPF50)

So right now I've been trying to discipline myself to wake up earlier to do the morning routine and to not sleep before evening routine. Good luck to me and I hope my skin gets better in due time.
